Mission

GIREF^φ’s mission is to enhance research activities related to the fiduciary performance of organizations of the private sector, the public sector and in NGOs to:

• reinforce the relation of confidence in the governance of organizations and
• promote the integration of ethical values in financial decisions.

In order to carry out its mission, GIREF^φ pursues goals complementary to research, education and information:

• Exploring links between on the one hand the reliability and the durability of organizations and on the other hand, the quality of their method or traditional financial risk management and extra-financial risks;
• Proposing more effective ways of evaluating fiduciary governance – taking into consideration the specific characteristics of the organization and its business model;
• Instigating new thinking on good fiduciary governance and the link with finance;
• Building wide-spread awareness, on a global scale, of best ethical and fiduciary practices among financial institutions, organizations and professions;
• Providing the means to facilitate the progress of its researchers and partners.
